Fairway Skort in Stone, 18 inches. Pleats and a zip pocket. This is an 18-inch skort, not a 15-inch.
Length is not a style detail you fix with a belt. It is how much leg the skort covers when you address the ball, sit in the cart, and walk into the clubhouse. GGBlue measures and prints the length on the product page. Harlo Ice states its 17.5 inches on size medium. Check the size you wear. A hem can shift between sizes.
Most of our golf skorts fall between 15 and 18 inches. Those are not the only numbers. Birdie and Emma are 16.5 inches. Flare Ice and Harlo Ice are about 17.5 inches.
A shorter hem can feel cooler and leave less fabric in the swing. It can also sit higher than you want when you tee the ball or climb into a cart. A longer hem covers more in that same motion and reads more traditional at many clubs. It is more cloth on the leg on a very hot day.
The built-in short is doing the coverage work underneath. The outer length is what the club, and you, see. Both have to be comfortable. If the short rides and the skirt is too short to hide that, the length is wrong for you, even if the waistband fits.
Use the length printed on that product. We do not use one hidden chart for every style. When the page says 18 inches, as on the Fairway Skort and the Classic Skort 18", that is the length we are selling. When Harlo says 17.5 inches on size medium, judge it on a medium, not on a small you saw in a photo. The model on several Ice skorts is in an extra small. The shirt models are often in a small. The photo is not your hem.
These are starting points, not a rule. A long torso or a high rise changes where the hem lands.
| Your height | 15" often | 18" often | Look at this too |
|---|---|---|---|
| Under 5'4" | Hits higher on the thigh. Can look proportioned if your club allows it. | More coverage. On a very petite frame it can feel long. | Birdie or Emma at 16.5" |
| 5'4" to 5'7" | Either length can work. Dress code and how much thigh you want covered decide it. | The safer choice at a traditional club. | Flare Ice or Harlo Ice at about 17.5" |
| 5'7" and taller | Noticeably shorter on the leg. Fine in heat if you like that. | Often the more balanced covered length. | 17.5" if 18" feels longer than you want |
Try this in the room, in the size you will play in. Do all four.

What happens when you sit: Flare Ice in plaid, about 17.5 inches, with the hem lifted. The top in this frame is sleeveless.
If it fails one of those, try the next length before you try a smaller size. A tight thigh is a fit problem. A high hem in the bend is a length problem.
Many country clubs expect a skort or a skirt, not athletic shorts, and some care how short the hem is. An 18-inch Classic or Fairway is the straightforward choice when the club is traditional. A 15-inch skort is easier to question at that same club. Mid lengths, 16.5 and 17.5 inches, are the practical middle when you want more coverage than 15 without the longest hem.
Ask the club if you are unsure. A skort that is “almost” long enough is still the wrong skort for a member-guest.
Length and fabric are separate choices. In peak heat, a 15-inch skort in a wicking cloth is the lightest option if the club allows it. If you want cooling fabric and a hem that is not 15 inches, wear Flare Ice or Harlo Ice at about 17.5 inches. Both have built-in shorts. Flare is UPF 50+. Harlo is UPF 30+. Pair them with Georgia Ice, our long-sleeve cooling golf shirt, when you also want the arm covered.
Ice, UPF, and how to choose the shirt: GGBlue Ice Performance
Choose 15 inches for more air and a shorter line, after you have checked the dress code. Choose 18 inches for coverage in the swing and at traditional clubs. If neither number is quite right, you are not stuck. Read the full comparison: 18-inch vs 15-inch golf skort

How long should a women’s golf skort be?
There is no single length. At GGBlue, 15 and 18 inches are the two classics. 16.5 and about 17.5 inches sit between them. Pick the hem that stays covered in your swing and meets your club’s dress code.
Does 18 inches restrict the swing?
It should not, if the thigh is not tight and the cloth stretches. The extra length is coverage, not a narrower fit. If the 18-inch feels heavy in extreme heat, try 17.5 before you drop to 15.
What length works in the heat?
15 inches, if your club allows it. If you want cooling fabric and more coverage, Flare Ice or Harlo Ice at about 17.5 inches, with a Georgia Ice long sleeve.
How do I know where it will hit on me?
Use the height table as a start, then do the movement test in your size. Photos are often shot on a small or extra small.
What do I wear it with?
A golf shirt, not a gym tank. Georgia Ice long sleeve is the cooling option with arm coverage. Sleeveless Ice is secondary, and only where the club allows a bare arm.
